atlanta thrashers rebrand

The Atlanta Thrashers were a professional ice hockey team based in Atlanta, Georgia, that played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1999 to 2011. The team was initially founded in 1997 and began playing in the 1999-2000 NHL season as an expansion team. The Thrashers struggled to find consistent success on the ice and faced financial challenges throughout their tenure in Atlanta. Due to various issues, including ownership disputes and attendance problems, the team's existence in Atlanta became increasingly uncertain.

Ultimately, the Atlanta Thrashers were sold in 2011 and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where they became the Winnipeg Jets, reviving a historic NHL team name.

In this class assignment to revive a defunct brand, I re-imagined the Atlanta Thrashers as the Atlanta Swarm, drawing inspiration from Georgia's state insect, the honeybee. This rebranding aimed to capture the essence of community, industriousness, and unity, paying homage to the state's identity while infusing new life and symbolism into the team's image.
