When designing the logo for the 94th GPHA Annual Meeting and Conference, the choice to incorporate the Jekyll Island lighthouse into the design was deliberate, symbolizing the conference theme "Lighting the Way to a Healthier Georgia." This imagery evokes the lighthouse’s role as a beacon of guidance, mirroring public health’s goal of guiding communities toward better health outcomes.

The design process progressed with sketching and ideation, exploring how the lighthouse could be stylistically represented alongside the outline of Georgia. Different compositions were tested, integrating other health and coastal elements.

The color scheme was carefully chosen to reflect the coastal vibe of the host location, with bright, ocean-inspired blues and teals complemented by a bright gold.
